Dear All, I have one query, kindly share your opinion on this. Our premises is covered under the Contract Labour Act and Building and Other Construction Workers Act.
I have studied that, in BOCW Act is not clearly specified regarding Over Time limit for construction workers. Kindly let me know, is there any time limit for OT hrs.
Under CLA Act,what is the security services' maximum working hours including OT per day? And if there are any Laws for them to do the 12hrs duty per day. Kindly share with me. Kindly help me regarding this. It's very urgent.

Dear Puttaraju.M,
To have complete knowledge on OT working i.e. hours of work, spread over, rest interval, O T working limit we should go through both the provisions & Rules under the Act & Rules applicable to your unit. Rules provide us the procedure for working on OT.
According to me Contract Labour( R&A) Act, 1970 & The Rules does not have provisions relating to OT working. If the establishment is covered under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 then go through the OT working under the Act & applicable Rules.

Dear Sir,

I m looking construction work site HR, we have to take BOCW registration of CG state. my question is that what is the frequency of construction site cess payment because in our work order payment of cess value to be ensure on every month of total 1% of RA bill submit to principal employer. it is private construction work site under private company.

kindly provide your valuable suggestion also what are the BOCW compliance check list/ACT and rules which we have to ensure on month to month compliance check list. kindly share the details

BMK - BOCW Cess is applicable only on Cost of Construction. U can sit with your finance and Procurement team to understand & elevate the cost and present the same to Labour enforcement get approvals and submit same to your principle employeer.

Puttaraju - Act clearly says 48 Hrs in a week for Central or State. But there is an exemption to Telangana with 72 hr in a week with constraints.
