Dear Members,
Can you please share me the limitations for EPF. An employee does not want to be covered under EPF who is getting a consolidated salary of Rs.4500 per month and working for more than six months in a single organisation.
The employer is forcing him to cover under the EPF scheme.
Is there any EPF rules where an employee can voluntarily withdraw him self from the scheme. If so what is the limitations and the total procedure.

Dear Mr Malik (Noida U.P.)
The Security Agency supplies two guards, please advise if this is correct according to his working:
Salary Rs 6000/-
Employee PF @ 12% Rs 480/-
Employee ESI @ 1.75% Rs 115/-
Employer PF contribution paid by client @ 13.6% Rs 544/-
Employer ESI Contribution paid by client @ 4.7% Rs 313
Sub Total Rs 7452/-
Service Charges Rs 1250/-
Total Rs 8702/-
Service Tax 10% Rs 870/-
Cess on Service Tax @ 3% Rs 26/-
Total Rs 9598/-
Total for two guards Rs 19196/-
If we pay by cash we do not pay all these taxes etc...but a flat sum of Rs 12000/- for two guards
If we pay by cheque then it has to be Rs 19196/- for two guards.
Question is we pay such a lot for services etc then why are we to pay the Employer's share of the
PF and ESI.
The pay packet of the Security Guard carries a different figure from the above.
We are paying Rs 12000 plus Rs 846 covering PF and ESI Total Rs 12846/-
We pay the agency Rs 3000/- as his commission for tax etc, he refuses to take this by cheque and
wants cash Rs 15846/- failing which we have to pay as per his above working
Please advise as we can see this as shear corruption
Thank you

Dear Learned Members,
I am 71 years old.I returned to India in 1994 and joined an organization. I was 51 when I joined the organization on 1 Dec94.I did not work in any organization before that in India. They have allowed me to work till 30/4/2014 and then I retired. For the period 1/12/94 to 30/4/2014 my employer deducted 780 from my sal and he contributed the same amount. But somewhere in 2006 I was told that I would not get any pension because my service from 1/1294 to 1/72001 is less than 10 years. My date of birth is 1/July/43.Accordingly someone in the EPF organization advised me to take away certain amount which would not earn any interest.I followed the advice. He also said that the contributions of my employer and my self would earn the interest due and I would get the whole on my retirement whenever it may be.I was getting EPF slips regularly and as per last calculation(tentative) it should be around Rs 6 lakhs.Latest slip dated Feb 2013 showed a total of
333279+217561=550840(Employees+employers).
When I applied for the amount due I am told that since an amount (which is less than 40k,if I remember correct) was withdrawn that I would not get any amount at all.
Please advise the course of action.
I am aware that the EPF could be contributed even after 58.
