Dear Friends Please tell me Difference between Industrial Disputes Act & Industrial Relation act Thanks Yogesh Shukla
From India, Indore
In my knowledge there is no Industrial Relations Act in India. Of course, there was a move to rename the Industrial Disputes Act in view of the fact that in new generation India we do not have any more "disputes" but we aim to bring about "relations". Any way, the Industrial Disputes Act is meant to bring about good industrial and employee relations in establishments and in India as a whole.

Dear Yogesh,
Across India we have the Industrial Disputes Act, but in addition to it we have Bombay Industrial relations Act 1946 which is applicable to the states of Maharashrtha & Gujrat states only.
Hence if you are looking for something in these states then you have to consult Bombay IR Act 1946 also.
