Hello,
Generally establishment is engaging two set of apprentices :
Ist- As per standing order or establishment own recuritment policy
IInd- Under the Apprentices Act,1961 for which a quota of apprentices has been fixed by the authority.
Ist one covered under the ESIC Act.
However, IInd one are not covered under the ESIC and to cover their risk it is prefer to obtain EC policy against them.
