Hi Harsha!

You may be an MBA! but before that you were also an undergrad! A High school pass out! Shed you ego, go down to their level and think as a beginner learner! from that point of view start your training, rather learning sessions for your team! If your IQ is truly high, then you should not be communicating what you have in the message. Sorry for being harsh, but that is the truth!

As a trainer, you are expected to be able to teach people at all levels. A good trainer knows how to tailor the material he is required to teach to the audience he is teaching.

You should have been taught these basic concepts when you undertook your training qualification.

In a previous life I worked as a Job Search Trainer. I had a basic course to teach, but I adapted that course material to each new batch of trainees, depending on what THEY needed. I never taught the same course more than once, and that also helps alleviate the boredom if you are just teaching the same stuff over and over again. Out of all the trainers teaching this course, I had the highest rate of success with trainees getting jobs, and every one of my "happy sheets" filled with glowing comments. My manager and the CEO were very happy with our success.

You may well have an MBA, but in the scheme of things that is totally irrelevant. It is how you relate to people, your ability to teach, and how you adapt to each new cohort and work to meet their needs.

An excellent trainer leaves his ego at the door of the training room - BEFORE he enters. Your trainees are not the slightest bit interested in you, only what you can teach them.
