hi seniors,
I am an IT professional (Unix administrator) with a total 10 years experience. My first 3 years in India, then 6 years in Middle east then i came back and and forced to join my family business (in fact my father in law's business,) 1.5years back. It is an engineering pvt ltd company. I always wanted go back to IT which is my passion, and appeared interview with a top MNC got selected in 2 tech rounds, communication round, formal HR round, now the company is gonna send me the Emp application form (EAF) and asked to appear for the face to face with hiring manager, now my problem is my salary is just 3.6Lakhs/yr (i dont have much expenses as i am living with my dad-in-law and family,). My official designation is Director( i dont like to be director anyway !) . My previous salary was 18Lakhs/yr in UAE. I have all the original pay slips, and all other documents. If i show my current pay (family biz) will the HR manager gonna degrade my skill level? should I present my old salary only? I dont want to fake my current pay even though its is less. How can I face this, my face to face salary discussion is going to be this week...I dont have much idea about all these PF, ESI, or TAX as in Middle East there was no TAX, PF bla bla...I know presently i am paying TDS... Please help me....to get out of this dilemma. ?I am looking for around 10- 11 Lakhs/yr...Seniors please help

Hi,
I think the offer 3.6Lakhs is very less for your level of experience. You must negotiate and get the max possible, otherwise anyway you have your family business to fall back on.
Or else try to negotiate as much as possible, stay in the organisation for 6 months - 1 year and take a jump.
I cant think of any other way.......
Hope this helps

3.6 is not the offer, thats my current CTC ., my last round of interview with one of the Top MNC is going to happen in few days, and they told me the salary part will be discussed and my problem is showing the current ctc of 3.6Lakhs, so as PON1965 suggested i am decided to show my previous salary of 18L (UAE) and and current CTC and negotiate...rest left to hiring manager..
