The Scope of Human Resources is very vast, It is very difficult to define functions of HR. Right from Recruitment to separation of employee it covers, between date of join to date of separation there are many process an employee undergoes training and development,welfare of employee,Industrial relations,above all these compensation is wages and salary administration.
In many of the companies there many HR managers such as manager for compensation and compliances who takes care of wages and salary admn and compliances of PF,Labour,ESI,and others
HR Manager T&D who takes care of only Training and Development,
HR Manager I R who takes care of Industrial relations,
HR Manager -Welfare who takes of welfare and safety measures of employees
There are so many books on this you can refer to those books or daily update you knowledge by visiting Citehr
