In February 2007 the CM Bhupinder Hooda and Sonia Gandhi announced in a rally in Sirsa, a raise in Haryana Minimum Wages from Rs 2,484 to Rs 3,510 for the unskilled category. The wages of semiskilled, skilled and highly skilled categories of workers will also be proportionately increased. I'm not sure if the Haryana Labour dept. has issued the necessary notification in this regard yet. You can check with the DLC's office in Gurgao at 0124-2335102.

Dear Kamal,

We would like to inform you that Labour Department, Haryana vide their letter No.26708-800 dated 25.08.2009 have intimated the field functionaries that there is an increase of 32 points in Consumer Price Index resulting thereby an increase of Rs.73.92 in the existing minimum rates of wages w.e.f July, 2009.Thus minimum rates of wages in different categories in all the schedule employments have increased accordingly.
For your second query we are to go through different designations provided in the schedule employments. You can also decide the categories keeping in view different designation provided in your applicable schedule employment. While adding an employment the appropriate Govt. put different prevalent designations in different categories and even then if any dispute arises regarding finalization of the category then the Authority under the Minimum Wages Act decides this type of issue.
