Dear Mahr,
Bonus is calculated on the 3500/- means some guy say that if anybody have worked 30 days in any year that person will be eligible for bonus is this right.
it means one person done two year work and leave the organisation then how much bonus will be for that man.
this 3500/- including basic+da is it right.

From India, Jhajjar
Dear karmbir
10000 limit for applicabilty
it means that whose basic salary is less than 10000/ per month entitled for bonus and 3500/- is maximum libility on the employer of bonus
The employer can pay bonus more than 3500/- depend on the the employer policy. but no one claim the bonus more than 3500/- forone year
thanks and best regards

Dear Gurav

Please be guide by the below for payment of Bonus

Two issues are to be considered;

Saalary Eligibility for bonus: is less than 10000 i.e u r eligible for bonus if u r salary is les that r 10,000 as per the Act

Bonus calculation: Bonus shall be calculated on Rs 3500 if u r salary is more than rs 3500. Pls see the example for more calarity.

Bonus Calculation

Hi Karamvir,
10000 is ceiling, means employees having sal less than or equal to Rs.10000/-(Basic + DA) is only eligible for bonus, it is criteria only. But calculation ceiling is Rs. 3500/-. Months calculative sal can'nt be more than this if person is having 10000/- basic also.
Exp. - Empl. A - Basic +DA - 8000
Calculation - 3500*% will be the bonus for him as per the worked no. of months.

Dear Yuktikhanna, A very .... clear answering from your side. May good give you a worthy knowledge with regards karamvir

bonus calculation is so simple plz do simple way
1.if the salary is equal or less than 3500 then take the real amout of basic.
2. if salary range is greater than 3500 and lesthan 10,000 or equal to 10,000 then assumed that as 3500.
example
suppose an employee"A" baisc salary is 5000. in month jan his net payable 5000,
feb=4900, march=5000, april=2500. etc till dec
write down alll moths 1st in coloumn of sheet
i.e jan, feb to dec
secondle put in jan colloum 3500, feb collum 3500, similarly march 3500, and april 2500. then in total colum = jan+feb+marc+april, in bonus column= total column*Y%
here y= min 8.33% to 20% depend on the company profit and rules
hope this help u all
