Hi,
Need a help, please. How do I assess the impact/effect of a particular training imparted? For example, suppose I have identified the need of a particular soft skill training for an employee. He has been trained for the same. Post training how do i assess whether the training has been beneficial for the incumbent or not? Is collecting training feedback the only option?
Please suggest.

Rather first question to be answered by ever learning and development professional.

If the training is not measured is of no use. Learning as a process has its own stages. First of all if the training has used those all the stages and ensured the participants reach the stage 3 or close then the result is inevitable.

Now the second thing is the evaluation methodology. The best known and efficient till today is Kilpatrick's evaluation method four levels. This methodology can further help you design the tool to assess the learning.

Mostly Pre-Mid-Post training assessments can draw out the result. The result are mostly objective than subjective. please engineer the tool to assess however, It would be little difficult in the absence of Pre and Mid training assessment scores. may be trainer who conducted the programme can help

I hope I was able to help
