Dear Mr Girish Subramanian,

If you want to revise the existing PMS system then just tell me in what are the inadequacies of existing system? If you wish to institute sound PMS in your company then your ops and other functional managers should have proper understanding of the following:

a) KPIs and KRAs of your business
b) Identification of various competencies of every position
c) Competency-based recruitment (yes PMS starts with recruitment)
d) How to conduct Performance Appraisal and lastly
e) Impact on the business because of poor performance

You can revise your existing PMS based on above points. You need to train your managers exhaustively on:

a) KPI and KRAs
b) What are competencies?
c) How to conduct Behavioural Event Interviews (BEIs)?
d) How to conduct (impartial) Performance Appraisal?

If you wish to conduct training on the above subjects you can count on me. I have conduct training across the spectrum of industries. To make you aware of my training activities, I have attached my Training e-Brochure to this post.

Thanks,
