I want to know that what kind of daily and monthly reports you should submit to GM if your reporting is directly to GM. I am an HR executive and my reporting is directly to GM. I want to design some creative reports and for that I need help from all of you. So please help me and give me some new ideas. waiting for your best replies as usual.

Hi Varsha,
Myself Amit Seth working with an IT company.
There are different kind of reports that you can send to your GM.
1. Weekly Attendance: In an excel sheet you can send the same and you can show the absentism rate of your office.
2. Monthly Reports: In monthly report you should prepare an excel file with so many sheets. You can arrange these sheets likewise-
> Basedata- Personal details of each and every current employees
> Salary Structure- Here salary structure of all current employees
> New Joinees: New joinees of that month with salary structure and other details
> Resigned Employees: Here you can show the details of resigned employees like their DOJ, DOR, Date of leaving the office to help in F & F, their status on Full & Final
> Attrition rate along with graph with comparison to last month
3. Even you can send your weekly reports whatever you have done in last 7 days.
Even you can send some more informational reports that happens in the office, and related with the HR activities.

Its all my pleasure.
Regarding motivational thing you can select the list of employees whose B'Day comes in a particular month then at the weekend of that month you may arrange a small meeting over some motivational issues, there you just call the name of those employees and ask them to cut a cake. Before that only you have to arrange for a big cake according to strength of Manpower.
Even in that meeting you may award Employee of the Month also, with a trophy and certificate. Before that you just prepare a list of employees with the discussion with their seniors, and rate them according to the discussion after that put Management remarks also in consideration after that see who has secured the highest rating, and he will be your employee of the month.
You can arrange all these things in a low budget. First implement these things then will come up with new ideas.

One more thing you can do is Announcement of New Joinees through mail and printed paper pasted in the Common Room. It will create a good motivation among the employees from the very first day of their Joining. I hope you must be implementing it but i suggested as it came in my mind.
