Hi all,

Off late, especially in IT companies, there has been hard negotiations from customers on increasing the workload without increasing rates or doing a 4 month job in 2 months. This has become a pre-requisite to keep the business coming. Employees are working for 12 / 14 hrs in a day and streching on almost continuous basis. This has taken a toll on employee morale especially when it goes unrecognized .

Request you all to please help with any policy that you may have in your organization to handle such scenarios. Also, suggest how we can recognise these people.

I am sure that this will be an issue across organizations, lets brain storm and come up with as many ideas as we can.

Regards

Shilpa,
you can introduce some reward program for your employees to appreciate their efforts. you can tie up with some club to provide discounted membership for your employees. put up motivational pictures accross office if possible. send out motivational mails or include motivational article in newsletter.

Thanks Swati...
We have been trying to motivate these employees with ample R&R programs and Fun at Work activities, however I am getting the message from employees very clearly that they are looking for some compesation benefits...Please let me know in case you have any such policy available.
Sending them motivational mailers daily is definitely a good idea to implement.
Cheers
Shilpa
