The truth is that often Marketing people move up fast with Finance and Operations to the top chair. HR is just optional but chances vary with individual talents and traits.

hi MHRS, In a corporate environment, a person choosing "Finance" as a career path, ends up as a CFO (Chief Finance Officer) reporting to the CEO and the one choosing "HR" ends up as a "SVP/Exec Director, Human Resources" who also reports directly to the CEO.
For you to be a CEO, you will need to be in "Operations"... the knowledge in Finance & HR will help you give that extra edge to climb the ladder of growth, quickly.... however, after one stage, it is always performance that you will be accounted for... :)
Cheers!!

Hi Friend
I feel you are little bit confuse on the decision related to Title, Sal array and future growth.
I will suggest at this time do not think all this ,first make analysis of yourself ,your weakness and strengths .which subject you like the most is it finance or HR .Depending upon the results you may select any one and do the mastery in it .
Both the carriers are rewarding and in both the cases there are chances of becoming CEO like in HR and Consultancy off course HR person have first chance to be CEO and at the Bank and Financial services definitely finance person.
