Hi,
As per policy of our company, Sick Leave can be accumulated maximum upto 90 days but it is not encashable. My query is whether after 90 days, it should again start as a new cycle i.e.from zero for the new calendar year or the balance will remain as 90 and the additional 6 SL for the new calendar year will be lapsed. Pls. revert with your valuable inputs .
Thanks & Regards,
Priti

Hi, the balance 90days leave will be remain same, additional leave may be encashed(as per your standing orders / policy)

If it is not encashable then what difference it makes if you allowed employee to carrry forward his sick leave, anyways after retirement or resignation it will lapse. Make it simple as far as possible.

As per your company policy the maximum leave accumulation shall be 90 days. It means as on 1st january every year the leave accumulation shall be 90 days and any leave beyond 90 days can stand cancelled or if possible encashed.

ask the employee to ensure he has only 84 days as on 31st dec of any year and then u can post another 6 days for the coming year on 1st of every Jan. That means advice them to utilise at least 6 days for the employee whose leave is 90 before 31st Dec of every year.

That is the right way of doing things Mr.Sanjeevan. Let the employee get benefitted. Yours Uniquenaga
