I had submitted the forms for PF closure to my employer. According to the norms I submitted a cancelled cheque from my Citibank account. But the entire process has been taking so long that recently, I happened to close the account accidentally. The PF amount has not yet been credited to my account.
Is there anyway I can ask them for a change of account?

Inform your employer by way of a simple letter that your citibank account has been closed and provide them the details of any other account in which you wish your PF amount to be credited along with a copy of the canceled cheque of that account.
They should take it on records and process the claim accordingly.

hi nimitz, i go with avika. check with PF office online (if you can on the payment status as well). that's why we generally have a permanent account and one salary account and give the permanent account as reference
