What do the 3 zones i.e Zone 1 , Zone 2, and Zone 3 in Minimum Wages - Maharashtra represent?? Are the Zones State specific or are they same all throuhout India?
Also, what is Special Allowance?? Is it a combination of DA with something else??
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Please find below my explanation on york doubts.
Zone-1 consists all muncipal corporations.
Zone-2 consists all Major muncipalities which have more than 1 lakh population.
Zone-3 consists all areas which are not covered under Zone-1 & Zone-2.
Special allowance is nothing but DA bcoz it increases based on the CPI points rise.you need to pay this special allowance apart from the basic salary or you can merge this spl allowance in basic.
