is there any logic in this puzzle.. a well qualified peron will start calculations after seeing the equation, and the try to find out where is the most probable step in which mistake can happen to have this equality..

I think it might like this 8+8 = 16 or 9-1=8 but am not sure and i require some time to get the correct answer.
