Dear Ponaraj, Thanks for the reply, but if DA is not considered for PF calculation, can we consider it for EL calculation or only Basic we have to consider. Thanks,

Why you are in confusion? For PF & EL encashment, both the components i.e. BASIC + DA should be considered.

Sir
I understand that DA also forming part of PF, if a company salary break up is only Basic+DA and Basic is considering for PF deduction. Now based on the above i have to calculate by considering Basic only is it right?.
Thanks,

Based on the above discussion i understood that u r company, for PF calculation only Basic is taking into consideration it seems.....if it is so that calculation is worng where Basic+DA both has to consider for calucating PF contribution.

I agree with you, but EL calculation based on this we have to consider only basic correct.
From India, Bangalore
so u r agreeing that PF calcuation is worng. And for EL calculation u want to continue the same mistake agin by taking only basic?? whether it is EL or PF, both Basic+DA need to consider.
