Hi All
I am from a Software Development Company. In our Company we have a Performance Appraisal System designed for end of Year Appraisal by the respective managers.
But I feel that at the end of each Project, the Manager of that project should fill in a small review sheet on each of the Team member against his Performance, Quality of work, Attitude etc for that Project. The sum total of all the Project reviews of each Employee will help the current Manager at the time of Annual Appraisal to give a more accurate Appraisal. This is in line with a what if scenario of the Manager quitting his job before the appraisal or a better understanding of the Employee contribution.
So my request to you all is do you have a small Review template for reviewing the Employee on Project to Project basis??
Please do help ...
Best regards

Hello Raj, Yes, I agree with what you say. In addition, project reviews help project managers and the organization run better projects next time. So, we encourage project managers getting feedback from team members and project stakeholders and writing up a project review. Our commercially available project management guide at http://www.businessperform.com/html/...ent_guide.html contains these two review forms in MS Word format so that you can customize them:
Stakeholder Feedback Survey Form
Project Team Feedback Survey Form
The guide also contains a number of other project forms. I wish you well in the enhancement of your appraisal system.

Hi,

See every project, service or product can be measured on the basic parameters of cost, qtn, price, time, efficiency etc.

Spk to some of your project managers & ask them waht is important to them & then spk to peopel & the top & refine this list. Once you have the 7-8 min points u want to measure a project on, you have the content & then develop a appraisal around it.

Please note when yopur organisations doing it for teh first time: -

1. Keep it simple, else it willnot get implemented as this is not a revenue earning activity for people to spend time on it leaving aside their own work.

2. Top Mgt buy in: - Pls ensure taht unless ppl at teh top also push this, it will fizzle out. This is because ppl ape the top mgt. Priorities of the top mgt are the priorities of the orgn. Ensure that the top mgt regularly revies this.

3. Most importantly, make this an input for some future revenue related activity (mayube selecting teh team for the next project) because then ppl will ahve to do it or else they will not be able to go ahead.

Hope this helps
