Amchi Mumbai: -- The facts
- More than half ur productive time goes in ego clashes, attitude of bosses n peers
- U are over stressed by sweaty horrible bhaiyas in bus and 3rd class rush in local trains with yucky pushes and pick-pocketers
- Half ur salary goes in travel, malls, dine n wine
- More than half ur salary goes on rentals and bills
- U save pennies and pay in pounds.
- Live in unhygienic polluted city, full of noise, drama, chors, sex and all the inhuman hearts around
Suprised to know you MISS SLUMBAI... lol

Hey Venus,

I agree with all you have got to say. But have u been to any other city in India. I have been. After a good 6 years stay in Mumbai, I moved to Hyderabad, a city where i spent 20 years before I got married and moved to Coimbatore, Visakhapatnam, Bangalore and Mumbai. Do you know how it is now.

Few Facts about Hyderabad or for the matter any city in India(try Patna, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai):
  • Atrocious Traffic - No body cares a hoot about others. Elderly & Physically challenged better not venture out without help. No body is scared of Cops here. They are as good as the statue on the traffic island. In Mumbai every one from an auto rickshaw driver to the eveteaser are shit (pardon my language) scared of cops. Have u ever tried calling 100 when u din't get a rickshaw. They respond promptly. I have experienced it 'n' no of times.
  • Vendors be it the bhajiwala or an outlet in a hip mall, dont give a dime for a customer. Their attitude stinks - if not this customer then somebody else.
  • Women can't venture out until and unless u r fully clothed from head to toe (burkha is preferred, maybe we should make it compulsory - hear hear Talibans) or else they have put up with such vulgarity, u should be a woman to experience it. Even a saree will not help.
  • My daughter who is all of 8 years old is eveteased while cycling on the road. In Mumbai a woman can walk on road even at 12:00 midnight without a fear. Have u been to Delhi. Should I say anything.
  • The laid back attitude (Hyderabadis call it Nawabi andaz)of the people has to be experienced.
  • Were u there in Mumbai during the floods of 26th July or the Local train blasts on 11th July. Mumbaikars... Hats off.
As long as you are in Mumbai u will not realise the difference. Move from there and then you will realise the greatness of Mumbai and Mumbaikars.
