Job satisfaction is what at the end of the day desired by an individual. Also agree with your thought of green pasteur but that has a break even point too. Regards Ajay

There are more points coming in like
1. Job satisfaction (includes how good my boss is)
2. Prospect
3. Money
4. Profile mismatch
and more. I thought I will get some good inputs from this experienced forum and I am still waiting for it :). I know their is no general answer to it but their are some broad categories and once I get a list I will try to summarize it with my experiences.
Thanks for the reply Ajay, it is highly appreciated.

Hi,
There is no specific reason for people quiting job. If you conduct exit interviews you will find the reasons vary widely. Depending on aspiration, needs , some go for money, while others for better responsibilities, some for challenges, opportunities for growth.
If you analyse Maslows hieraryof needs in comparing with ur question . you will find that at ist three levels the rate of leaving is more. At esteem need onwards the rate decreases considerably.

I truly agree, there are multiple reasons for leaving and it is case based.Whatever factors we identify they all convey one common determinant, that is SATISFACTION (either job or personal) which will restrict you from quitting.
