Dear All, We are in the process of engaging 'Security Services' vendor for our organization. The vendor will be deploying security personnel at all our offices in Karnataka & the total strength would be 150+. As per our understanding, the vendor has to submit the following documents so that we can issue Form V for the vendor to obtain the Labour License. 1. PF Code Allotment copy 2. ESI Code Allotment Copy 3. PT Registration Copy 4. Karnataka Shops & Establishments Registration Copy. The vendor claims that he has a PF Trust & has the grant of exemption under EPF & MP Act, 1952. The vendor is submitting the letter of grant of exemption to us but not PF Code Allotment copy. Kindly guide us as to how important is the PF Code Allottment copy in this regard. Kindly request you to also clarify the details of forming PF Trust, deductions & remittances & other procedures to be followed in such cases. Thanks & Regards, Vadiraj Kulkarni

Thanks to both of you.... I have received a copy of the Notification of PF Exemption provided to the vendor by PF Authorities but he claims he was issued PF Code in early 70s, so there was no procedure of giving any PF Code Allottment copy & hence the authorities have not provided him the copy of the same. Can I go ahead with just the notification copy or should i insist for the code allottment copy also... Request your clarification.. Thanks & Regards, Vadiraj Kulkarni
