Hi, All, My question pertains to those who are working as an HR (Execs/generalists etc ) in organizations in Dubai. I consider pursuing a career in HR hence, planning for an MBA( HR ) through Symbi, Pune, India via distance education. However, I am a little apprehensive regarding the HR jobs available in Dubai for Indians. I have gathered information through various sources that most of the organizations prefer westerners/Arab nationals but Indians for HR roles. Is that true???
I already have experience as Admin assistant (dealing with some HR functions , though not completely) for almost 6-7 yrs (in UAE+GCC) and would like to know if this experience would be in accountable for HR jobs after 2 yrs ??
Please enlighten me with some valuable suggestions......

Hi there, please note that alot of the HR positions are exclusive to Emirates/locals. However, expats still have many opportunities out there, don't be misled, give it a try, you may never know whats out there for you.
Good luck.

I did not quite understand your statement. Could you elaborate on this please?
Thanx for all those who replied to me. I am in a fix to decide if I would opt out for Finance/HR ; I have knack for both. But as I mentioned, I have gotten not so favorable answers from my research till now if an Indian would be preferred for an HR role without any prior HR experience. I know for sure Finance sector gives break to all nationalities and freshers in this part of the world. So, was clearing my doubt. All other members, please pour in your suggestions.....
