I would suggest you to Matheran, which is near to Pune. Its a hill station and you can enjoy to the core as the Toy Train takes you all the way from Neral to Matheran.
Its just a superb and a adventurous journey as the toy train takes you up the hill, in the forest, thru the tunnels etc,
After you reach the Matheran station, you have lot of points like sunset point, sun rise point, etc,
You have a good restaurants at Matheran where you can have nice lunch and dinner.
Also a place called Panchghani is close to Pune, may be you can check that out as well
