dear all,
warm greetings. i am working with a reputed international school with abt 250staff.
i started working on developing a appraisal system for the school. and working on that
and i think 360 degrees is the best one.
question is as im going for the appraisals for the first time is it good to start with 360 or else shall i start with normal rating scale appraisal????
and if soo can i start with 360 degrees, can any one assist me in developing the format for school staff....
thanking you...
yours

What you both need to do is some literature search and then decide. What do you understand by 360 deg appraisal. If there is no appraisal system at present and if you are going to intorduce peer appraisal and appraisal by students and subordinates, it will have a lot of repurcussions. Do you know what they are?

Hi vamsigyandev!
Just came across your query...in case you are still looking for literature for the same there is a book called..360 degree feedback and Performance Management System, Vol-2, this is a publication of TV Rao Learning Systems Pvt.Ltd. Excel Books. This book has an amazing study/article on assessing teachers and teaching effectiveness.
Unfortunately I do not have the soft copy for this!
