Hi Friends,
Please share your views and comments on the usage of Mobile phones at Office as well as Educational Institutions.
Is there any necessity to bring ban on this?
Will the ban on usage leads to the better quality of work?
How far we can implement this?
Students carrying Cell phones to Schools and Colleges.
How far it is Good?
Do they really need Mobile Phones?
Awaiting for your valuable Response.

Hi Swapna,
I feel the tech gizmo has become a part of the body for most of the individuals in todays tech world, and every body is attached to it in one or other way( calls, SMS etc). Moreover to stay mobile has become a fashion too.
But there are some limitations for every thing, TOO MUCH IS TOO BAD :).
Hence i suggest my friends & co-employees to minimise the use of the mobile both inside and outside the office, and request them to put their mobile in silent mode.
Maintaining a low profile when on phone to stay in touch with those who need your presence makes sense. Mobile etiquette is a must.
For students its both an advantage and disadvantage, it depends on ones perception.
Thanks & Regards

Dear Swapna,
Usage of mobiles at office(s)/college(s) is just like two sides of a coin.
We can't say to stop or just go ahead.
Just before using we have to think whether it is right time to talk or not. If it is not much important, then being quite is good. If it is too important, than u can talk.
But using cells in the college grounds not appearing good sound. Any important message will be conveyed by their management to them. Keeping the phones in silent mode is good at college/office, so that it will not disturb any other.

Hi ALL,
Thanks A lot for sharing your Views.
I agree with Rupesh and Katyayani on Keeping the phones in silent mode while at work.
But do the Employees really follow this concept??
I Strongly agree with Katyayani and Archna that Mobile Phones must be banned in the schools.

Hello There,
I understand that banning is not a solution at all. If we see its purpose (Keeping in touch with people, especially the ones who need us anytime or every time) then we will find that we can ban it neither in School/ Colleges nor in offices.
Rather we can limited it or we can apply strict rules.
I came to this topic with a purpose. Today my office has banned mobile phones in office premises. See below email from them.
"Any Cell phone found on the floor would be confiscated and returned after a week only. Entire Data (Pics & Videos) will be deleted and disciplinary action would be taken against."
Now My Wife is a 09th month pregnant and According to our doctors, she can get labor pain anytime soon. So in this case I cant afford missing any call from my home. What should I do.?
This is just one scenario, hope we all have different issues. So I mean to say, that one can be allowed to use mobile phone under the supervision or can take a call after seeking permission from the managers. That's it.
