Dear All,
I have a query regarding notice period, the if the employee gives his notice period on 1st September 2008 and according to the company policy notice period is 2 months, so his notice period will be completing on 31st Oct. every thing was fair and clear from employee side, but i have a confusion that from which date his notice period will be start like in which date he gave his resignation or the date the employer accepted his resignation. like employee gave resignation on 1 sep and employer accepted on 15th sep.

Please clarify the confusion.

Notice period starts from the date on which the employee submitted his resignation.
