Dear Friends,
I just joined in construction company and in the process to set up h.r. dept. Can any one provide me the policy of Leave and Holiday (not per law but as per the current practice in this industry)? Also what is the approximate % of salary on turn over in this industry in practice?
Please give me your feed back immediately,
thanks & regards

Hi Siva,
Apart from the 3 national holidays companies generally have 4-7 days as declared holidays.
You can have 20-30 days as leave which can be split up into PL/EL, CL & Sick leave.
Hope this helps....

Dear Reji,
Thanks for your response. In this company there is no policy because there was no h.r.dept. since its begining in 1997. Now I am in the process to implement various policies. As the work is continuous nature at site, i am making different policy for office staff and site staff. But i want to get all employees same benefit. This is my leave policy.
For Office Staff
All Weekly Off
7 CL
1 EL/20 w.d.
10 Holidays
For Site Staff
2 Weekly off in a month
45 Days EL which include CL, balance Weekly off etc.
5 Holidays (balance 5 days will be added in leave)
All leaves are encashable.
What i feel the leave i proposed is much more when comparing with other construction companies.
I want to know whether i am right or wrong.
Pls give me you suggestion.
thanks,

Hello to all,
I'm looking for a research about how this holiday and work time affects on productivity. I work in a construction company where people can work 48 days thru and then have 7 days off.
There are other pp who just never go home. I want to show numbers of how this affects actual productivity.
I thank you in advanced.
