I know some of the topics, which would be good for doing a project. They are - Recruitment & Selection, Training & Devleopment, Performance Appraisal and HR Audit. Among these I don't have any idea about HR Audit but if you need any help or any information regarding the remaining topics i mgiht be able to help you to some extent. I will let you know if i come across any other good topics for the project.

you can work on methods of Mentoring in a company this topic is closly related with leadership development try out these less explored new areas

i m natasha from secunderabad,well i m too doing a project in HR dept, well all the topics given above by others are too common .In every organization u will find people doing the projects with same topics.why dont u go for sumthing different,well my project topic is employee satisfaction.i hv prepared a questionnaire on the basis of above topic and distributed it over to all the employees keeping a sample target and on the basis of my sample collection i well prepare charts or graphs to prove the satisfaction level.well this was my opinion.if u r really interested then i will definately come forward to help u.

I feel that you should choose a project on the basis of Industrial Sector in which you prefer to start your career. Many Companies directly offer employment to Project Trainees if they find them suitable and the project experience counts when Companies come for Fresher Recruitment in Campus.
For example if your are planning to be in the Factories/ Manufacturing Sector you can do the following:
1) Conflict Management
2) Absenteeism (very common)
3) Disciplinary proceedings
4) Workers Training
5) Statutory Compliance vis-a-vis Difficulties (New)
For Service Sectors:
1) Employee retention
2) Incentive Schemes
3) Team Building
Earlier I have suggested one member to do a project on Conflict Management and if you want my suggestion you can go in for a project on HR Rating.
