Hello Everyone,
I have a question related to full & final settlement of employees.
Can any one suggest me ????????
In my company a employee has resigned on April 17th,2008 and we have completed his seperation formalities on the immideate effect of his resignation, but till the date our HR department didn't sign his full & final settlement.
The employee came to me too many times and asked for his final salary cheque and when i asked to our HR they replied thet this is in process it will take more time.whenever they will finish their process they will send his cheque to him. They didn't say any certain date for the same.
I am so confused what should i say to that resigned employee?????
Is this right to convey wrong message to any person????
There is lot of adjustment in every person's life

Now my Question is this..........
Is there any fix time limit to clear the full & final settlement of employees??????
When a employee resigne, After how many days a company starts the full & final procedure and how much time this pcocess takes???????
Pls suggest in this matter.
Does this process really take a long time????????????
or i should talk to HR why they are delaying this process?????

Hi Archana,
There is no fixed time limit for F & F processing. It difers from company to company. There can be many reasons for not happening of F & F so you need to ask your HR dept the specific reason for which the F & F is on hold so that you can reply the employee accordingly.

Hi Archana,
Ask the employee to send you an official mail in this regard.
When the employee sends you, forward the same to the HR dept. By the way, which dept are you in... If you are not in HR, are you the point of contact for full and final settlement..?
If you are not the point of contact, let him approach the relevant person.
F & F settlement time depends from Co. to Co.
