can anyone give me some idea about how SAP helps with the hr functions like performance appraisal and all......
what are its benifits its short-comings..........
how can it be implemented???????? can people having with a brief knowledge of computers work on it??????
please help me yaar............
i'm really confused about it........
even google doesnt help much regarding it.

thanks a lot for the link it really upgraded my knowledge in this field. if u have any other information regarding it. do let me know. and do u have some idea whether performance appraisal can be done on SAP or not. for i've studied use of SAP in supply- chain and in stores but use of SAP in HR its new so want to know as much as i can about it.

actually i'm doing summer internship in bombay dyeing and working over performance appraisal here, so thought if i could implement it on SAP.and also have to make a report on it but i'm not an engineer just have knowledge about c++,HTML...... still can i do something on it.

We can implement all the major Functions of HR in SAP HR.
Eg:Recruitment,Payroll,Training & Development,Performance Appraisal etc.

As Swapna has rightly said that all the functions can be performed with the help os SAP.
But dear, you need to learn from somebody the basics of SAP HR, like in our company we have designed all the softwares in SAP HR for Performance Management, Payroll, Data Administration and Database management sysytem.
There is no need in SAP for C++ and HTML, if you are computer savvy, it is ok to work on the SAP HR.
Ask more details about this from your company, where you are doing your project, some body might help you.
