Hi,
I am about to receive my yearly Performance Appraisal in a day's time. I am working as an HR Executive but work my work profile consists of handling a lot of Administrative work along with Recruitment, Policy making and other HR general practices.
However over an years time I have discovered that amongst all the job responsibilities I am not comfortable with Recruitment and do not enjoy it the same being the reason I am unable to give my 100% to whats assigned.
My Question is that should I discuss this issue during the process of Appraisal or not??
Please do reply to this as I am in need of proper advice.
Thanks

Hi Geeti,
I feel u shud openely discuss about it as u said tht u rnt able to give ur 100% to it and do not enjoy it, it will neways come to their notice tht u rnt doing justice to what u have been assigned and they r definetely going to question u on dis during the appraisal.
nd if u will discuss wid them and voice ur opinion as to wht u like and wht u r comfortable doing it , i dont think so it would harm u in neway. nd then u can even get ur choice of profile if they can afford to give u , nd things will be clear also. ths wht i feel....
Thanks

Hi,
I do sit in the performance appraisal reviews in my organisation, And seriously I would also recommend the same thing that one should always be open about the justification that what they are able to give to the job.
Do mention all the problem that you face while recruiting and the points why you do not enjoy this.
happy appraisal

Hi geethika ,
well i guess the best thng for u 2 do is to voice ur problem right away cos its no help waiting all the way till ur appraisal review to speak about ur problem ......cos recruitment is a huge responsibilty on its own & ur providing vital resources to ur org and it definetely requires some kind of commitment so i guess u need to speak it out b4 u have ppl runnin behind u as to why u havent met the requiremnts ....so better 2 speak up :D before landing in a soup.
regards,
mehvish
