I am working in a software company since 2001. To apply in certain Govt. oraganizations experience certificate is required while applying. I requested my employer for giving me experience certificate but he refused in written email that "We do not follow such practise in our company" Are they not bound legally to give me experience certificate? Shall I request for Service letter or Employment certificate instead of Experience certificate? What should I do now?

I asked them for Employment Certificate they again said that they can not issue. Please what can I do now? Which law or Act forces them to do so?

Hellow Mr. Lokesh, While working in the organisation
no employer will issue the
Experience Certificate. It
will be issued at the time of leaving the organisation
on resignation or so. While
applying for outside employ-
ment you have to request for
isuing \"No objection certi-
ficate\" and attach with your resume and send. This
will serve the purpose.
Best wishes.
