Dear all, I am working in a Pvt. Ltd company for past seven months. I resigned from my job in mar 2020 ,which is accepted by the chairman of the company ( my manager) and I am serving 30 days notice period as per my employment terms and conditions.
During this period I sent multiple reminder to HR to start the handover process and exit formalities however no one paid any heed. Now the day of my reliving date is a week away , the CEO is forcing me to extend my notice period by a month .
Please advise

Dear Aarti,
If the extension of your notice period does not cause you any trouble or hardship like joining a new job or shifting the family elsewhere, you can do it after consulting the prospective employer or members of your family as the case be. Since the Nation-wide lock down is to continue up to the middle of April,2020, why can't there be the same administrative problem in the new company or problem of mobility in case of shifting to some other place or country?
Think it over, please.
