Hi Amit,
It's good that you have opted HR as elective, b'coz HR sounds just 2 letters. But every thing is from there. HR is not just Human Resource, but also heart & root of any organisation.
If u walk in any organisation or any business establishment, one thing to notice is that Hr is a major task or part of organisation.
HR acts as a nerve in a human body, without HR no company can move forward to a great height.
I would suggest if there is option for u to go with Business Management or Law. B'coz these 2 shall support HR in the regular task. However U can also take suggestions from many more well wishers.
Good start............. Keep Going,
Best wishes,
Bobdeep

hi Amit,
HR is important coz any member in an organization will undertake an H task. middle and top level employees will have to make decisions on recruitong or at least sit out an interview board. so HR is important and its very lucrative.
ur minor will depend on the subjects on the offing, marketing, international management, OD are very useful these days and in future.think of some professional background as well

Hi everyone,
Im currently doing my MBA and would like to specialise in HR in my second year. I have a keen interest in Finance too. Would a major in HR and a minor in finance be a benefitting combination for me? Any other suggestions on subjects that i can take up which will compliment my Major in HR?
Look forward to your responses.

Hi Amit
I myself is pursuing MBA in HR so based on my experiences i can suggest you that for understanding HR you should read Human Capital. Moreover visit sites like www.hrfolks.com, & ofcourse you'll get plenty of information in this site only.
As far as specialisation is concerned, based on my experience of job search i would suggest you to opt marketing as minor one. The combination has tremendous scope now a days.
All the Best!!
