LWW is applicable irrespective of gender. In a financial year, a women 1st obtains maternity benefit shall be paid & on the same year the women if seeks leave, it would be loss of pay. But if the women has taken LWW 1st & then later maternity leave in the same year, it is upto to the company to decide whether to grant ML with pay or without pay for specific days since LWW already taken.

i didnt understand ur view. At the time of interview we haven't receievd anything which clearifies what Lww is all about and why this has been making one of the salary component from our proposed salary.Only in our salary structure lww is mentioned, in offer letter irrespective of any clearification which had to be mentioned in offer letter.In this company i am working from 1 Aug'13 then also i am not eligible for ML. How this is possible for an employer to escape from giving ML when this is not the general case which comes every month in any oraganization.if only by mentioning LWW makes employer safe by not giving any leave or any other benefit then what is the use of making MB Act. Bcoz this is the most simple way, just make lww as one of the proposed salary head and get rid from all acts or benefits which employee should get? in simple sense, if any employee joins some new organization first he/she has to clearify his component with lawyer so that exactly employers mentally can be known.kindly clearify?

In a financial year, if a women granted MLB & then if subsequently seeks another leaves with salary may not be applicable in Pvt orgs. It may be loss of pay. It applies to the same financial year. But you shall enjoy MLB in 1 year & leave with pay in subsequent year is your rights. Every year all employees are entitled to enjoy leave with pay. But MLB & another leave days with pay for different reason in same year may not be possible in pvt orgs.

In my case, shall i go for ML or not. is i am eligible for ML as i m with this oraganization from 1 Aug13 and this lWW amount is shown with every month in my salary slip.
