Dear Friend,
Why you are thinking much? what u r saying is there in the corporate field. Bu it is known as Loyalty Bonus. Don't forget to communicate about the same thing to the applicant befor the offer or at the time of appraisal.
Why cant we form a policy on loyalty/ commitment of an employee as most of the MNC and even small companies are executing to retain their employees

Dear Dev, In this policy which is under process, notice period is of 1 month and the deducted amount is not a part of CTC, this is loyalty bonus.

Ms Rajani,
May know if you have studied HRM ? And your experience in HR ?
Are you aware of certain compliances? certain corporate governance policy ? certain NORMS ? certain universal practices ? Certain principles of natural justice ?
Right now maybe you are dancing to the tune of management to keep them happy. But put yourself in the shoes of a peon, office assistant, driver, computer/data entry operator. WOULD YOU BE HAPPY IF A PART OF YOUR SALARY IS DEDUCTED UNAUTHORIZEDLY ON SOME SUCH IMAGINARY, FLIMSY EXCUSE AND KEPT WITH THE MANAGEMENT ?
It is not only INHUMAN, it is ILLEGAL as well.
How do you call yourself "HUMAN" Resource Professional ?
Why don't you suggest to your Management to set aside certain sum from its PROFIT for the above purpose ?
"Bass, Garib ki jeb kaato " - that sums up your HUMAN Resource policy.

This is not a good practice to deduct some amount from the salary of the employees and pay at the time of full & final. First you should make policy to retain the employees who are worth for the company. Next step, if you realy want that if the employees leave the organisation in a proper way, first you have to reduce the notice period. Now a days the employers are not willing to give more than one month notice so the employees leave the organisation without bother about their full & final settlement keeping in mind the better opportunity awaitng for them. Second thing, when an employee put up his paper, try to understand the reason for his leaving and if he realy have to join another company within a short period or anyother reason, and if he can give minimum notice period, you will consider that also. The employees leave without notice period just because there might be some bad practice of stopping dues of employees. First you create confidence in employees on the company, not forcefully.

thanks

People don't leave Company, they leave bad bosses. Your case of people leaving without notice needs attention in areas you have not thought of. the kind of policy you wish to introduce will only make matter worse.
