This is to inform you that vide letter dated ....................., Mr...................., Regn No................. has informed his inability to continue with the Appreticeship training with us , for which he was engaged. As per clause........... of the Contract of Apprenticeship, we on our part terminate the contract with immediate effect, which may please be noted.

I hope by senior most employee you mean the highest authority in the company and not the most experienced employee. In the former case the employee being a Managerial staff you need not inform the government of his termination. On the other hand if he is a workman then before such retrenchment you should have send notice to the government in form P of the Industrial Disputes Act. Please note that this intimation is required only for retrenchment cases and not for all terminations.
