Hello Ramkesh
I think you are mistaken about the MBA not being approved by AICTE.
It is a rule that MBA or PGDBM or any of its variant HAS TO BE approved by AICTE compulsarily.
GGSIP Univ will not allow a college to run MBA programme without AICTE approval. Your college must have taken AICTE Approval programmes for both MBA and PGDBM programme.
Distance learning programmes of any variety need not be approved by AICTE. However if they are going to give a proper 'Degree' then the same has to be approved by UGC.

Hallo Riyaz
In some extent you are corect, earlier it was compulsory that University affiliated MBA also take approval of AICTE but after Supreme court judgement in Bhartisadan University now it is not compulsorly compulsory that University affiliated MBA Insitute also take approval of AICTE. The Supreme court ruling is law of the land and its have overriding jurisdiction over the AICTE Bylaws. Hence now it is optional to University affilited MBA institute that they want to take approval of AICTE or not.

Hi
For distance learning Dictance Education Council approval is required. There is no need that it must be recognised by UGC. DEC himself is Statutory Body once its recognises by DEC the distance degree is approved. You can check all approved Institute at <link no longer exists - removed> .

dear basu
If the course is not approved by aicte norms, it means that the course will not carry any weightage nor acceptance all over india for its holder.
this is the actual bare truth, but many colleges are conducting courses which are not recognised by aicte.
during your exams, if you could get the hall ticket from Directorate of technical education of that particular state, later i shall defnitely help you

Dear Collegues

AICTE is a GOvernment body and SISI is also a Goverment run Institute. One day I could see the name of SISI in the list of Institutes running without the approval of AICTE. Is it not a mockery of a government Institute not following another Governing body.
If AICTE did have any problem of Icfai running its courses without its approval it would publish in the press or else would direct Icfai to get recognition from it. But it has not been done yet nor UGC has accused Icfai of anything. When the highest authority are not bothered are convinced about the functioning of Icfai wh y should we bother.
THere are 12000 students pursuing MBA at regular mode with Icfai and the placements among them is excellent for a normal student. I am quoting this because my younger brother is pursuing his studies with Icfai National College and I am not bothered about UGC or AICTE but am bothered just about the employability skills which are taught above the standards of most of the traditional Colleges. When ABN Amro Bank, Axis Bank, Britannia, Business standard, Citibank, Future MOney, Godrej, GSK Pharma, HDFC Bank, HSBC, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, Indian Express, Indusind Bank, ING Vysya Bank, ITC, JK Tyres, Laurent&Benon, LG Electronics, LIC Housing FInanance, Mahindra FInanance, National Institute of Management, NIIT, Raymonds, Ranbaxy Labs, SBI Mutual Funds, Subiksha, TATA, Times Group, UTI Securities, Vodafone, Wockhardt, Yes bank, coke, pepsi, reliance, IBM, Wipro, TVS Sundaram, are some of the companies which i know in which Icfai students are pursuing excellent track record with great careers. When the employers who are giving the placements are not bothered on that issue why should we worry about that. And for a Goverment job, it is usually based on the UG degree and not based on MBA.
Icfai has already 7 universities in India. They are going to spread to another 10 Universities in the next 5 years. In future there will be one Icfai University in all the states. They have started operations in Sri Lanka and are opening a University in Southern Australia in another 2 years and have plans to go to Malasia, Dubai and to US too in Future.
US with 30 crores of population has 3500 Universities, Japan has more than 2500 Universities India with moer than 110 crores of Population has only 354 univeristies which is really a national shame. Goverment is not interested in Opening up any Universities with lots of Investment, when they have to take care of Primary Health, Primary Education, Infrastructure, defence etc. PM says India need another 1500 Universities, but who will come forward. Thats why private players like Icfai has come up with an objective of Prividing Employabilty skills along with a MBA degree. Lets try to motivate and encourage them instead of finding faults alone.
THe affiliation to a certain University is in practice only in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladech, Nepal and Pakisthan. THe rest of the world do not have this system
When we are believing the teawala for a 5 rupees tea, without knowing whether he has put sugar or poison in the tea we drink, We pay Rs, 50 and travel in train or bus allowing our life to be taken care by the drivers and when we are believing the persons whom we have not seen in our life, why dont we believe those institutes who are in Indai for the past 25 years with proven and most sought after edicational packages like CFA.
believe and without it we would perish.

Thanks and regards

Hey every one...
Im into Resourcing.... According to my experience a degree is only a bench mark to get in. There are only 25% of the companies who would really care about the institute.
It is very difficult for companies to source the right candidate. Provided your resume speaks out well, and you excel in your interview most organizations will hire you overlooking the institute. Quality is what employers look at. "Not All ISI marked products are good???" that speaks a lot.
At the same time I reckon, a FULL TIME COURSE HOLDS VALUE IF DONE BY AICTE APPROVED COLLEGE. PART TIME/ CORRESPONDENCE does not matter much.
