Dear All
As per factories act a person who has worked more than 9 hrs in a day and 48 hrs in a week should be paid double OT. The calculation is as follows-
Basic+D.A/26/8*OT Hrs*2
Suppose If basic+D.A is Rs.15000 and Ot is 45 Hrs then the calculation will be
15000/26 =577
577/8=72
72*45*2=6480

Dear Mr. Khaiser Ali,
Pls. note the Over Time Calculation is
Basic / 26 / 8 * no. of ot hrs * 2.
Because if the workers worked after working hours we have to pay the overtime as double wages.
This is for your kind information.
Thanks & Best Regards,
Ambika
