Striagt up with me, we need bold people to work with, being assertive is far different from being aggresive. assertive is expressing yourself very well without intimadation from any source-not even the panel. assertive again means you answering you questions very well withour fear, it is when you can a spade a spade not a shovel, it was in those days when you are sooooo sobmissive was termed as rspectful, the modern world needs young energtic and assertive men and women. for instance if you work with call center, we need assertive (NOT AGGRESIVE) agents to address issues with irate customers, in a banking industry, Assertiveness is key because you will surely get irate customers but you need to be assertive to handle them or you end up losing money everyday.

I think I have to explain being assertiveness nad aggressiveness

Assertiveness is Standing up for your rights and not being taken advantage of is one definition of being assertive.

It also means communicating what you really want in a clear fashion, respecting your own rights and feelings and the rights and feelings of others.

Assertion is an honest and appropriate expression of one's feelings, opinions, and needs.

Aggressiveness - Being aggressive means standing up for yourself in ways that violate the rights of others.(do not respect the panel)

Aggressive behavior is typically punishing, hostile, blaming, and demanding. It can involve threats, name-calling, and even actual physical contact. It can also involve sarcasm, catty comments, gossip and "slips of the tongue.".

I believe this point clear.

A submissive candidate is easily push. they are asked how much want for salary, they say, anything between ........ and ......... if you give them ....., they end complaining to other colleagues and friends that the company si not paying- but who bargined for the salary.

for the past 8 yrs, i mentioned what i want in interviews because i know what am worth, if the environment is not good, i tell you then i leave.

am not being aggressive but assertive.

stepping out a meeting when and there any questions, just make some noice and i will try my best to answer them..

Thanks deepali for the reminder. it nearly escaped me because i was just reading the current postings..Lockwood

Hi Prachi,
I was working for you only.
I am not getting as such any specifically questionnaire for TCS for freshers.
They will conduct your technical round and then HR round (where you will asked questions like wise, where do you see yourself after 5 years down the line, about ur family, interest and hobbies, extra curricular activities, technical questions, etc.).
