Hi Pranati,
No, ideally you should not be editing any of your unanswered posts because some of them may receive replies in the future and become a valuable knowledgebase addition. Since currently the unanswered posts are all mixed up and many of them are not even queries I am not sure how exactly we can tackle the problem.
I can probably add means for members to mark a particular post as a query but even that is not foolproof as many may not get around to marking their posts and this measure can only be applied to new posts being made.
I am beginning to think that I should probably add a date factor to that unanswered posts query - as in showing only unanswered posts till one week before.
Warm regards,
CHR

I agree with you on this point
For the start, if the link to total unanswered posts doesnot show the jokes posted under Daylife and Humour... It would bringdown the total unanswered post by substantial numbers and would also help in locating queries easily..
I agree that it is not foolproof, but would give some headstart in the direction..

totally agreed but some of these querries become irrelevant after some time and most of the members do not even care to search for similar problems and answers...thus if some of them can be removed it will be ok - like for example i was luking for a job and posted a querry here but now it doesnt matter even if no one has replied back...so i can remove it ...similarly perhaps similar unanswered querries can be be put under one header and a relevent answer given - like there are many unanswered ones on performance appraisal etc ,which can be easily answered if one makes a search on this site or google...and also the articles which are posted can be removed from the unanswered posts-it will be easy as articles will be atleast 500 words or more, and i agree with ajmal that posts in humor and day life can be removed...cause we end up writing one line msgs like gud posts to remove them and its not worthwhile ...as the same time could be spent on answering relevant questions...
