As per section 27 indian contract act .it is illegal to keep any document and signed bound is also illegal in india . so go legally and take collect your documents .

Mr. Sharma, please explain how sec 27 applies here?

Sec 27 applies to agreements in restraint of trade. There's no restraint of trade. They are not stopping him from taking a different job. They have provided training and there is a bond signed asking that he work for a certain period or in case he does not do that, he needs to repay the amount of training.

The conditions are very much reasonable (though we have not read the full agreement)
