I joined service in June 1984. My retirement age was august 2011 but management asked me to continue verbally with revised salary and change of duty from teacher to office duty.Gratuity was not settled on retirement and i was in continuous service. I was given PF also till march 2014. Later i was given consolidated sum as pay from April 2014 onwards till my superannuation i.e June2015 but my PF was stopped by the employe from April 2014.My query (1)Should Pf have been deducted on consolidated pay at 12% for the period April 2014 to April 2015? (2)Am i entitled Gratuity for service between 1984 to 2015 on consolidated pay? Kindly clarify whether the extended period after retirement is entitled for gratuity as there was no break in service?

I think you have not gone in detail through my post. If you were asked to continue after retirement, you are supposed to have worked till 2015, the date on which you were relieved officially. If so, you will get gratuity till 2015. Regarding PF contribution, if you had not withdrawn the PF you should continue to contribute it on your consolidated salary. Obviously, the employer should also contribute his share on the same salary. On the other hand, if you had withdrawn the PF in 2014, then no contribution is required to be made because by then you would become an excluded employee.
