Hello TK Sundar,
All the Best in your efforts.
However, pl also bear in mind about one particular possibility---the dealer MAY feel constrained/constricted IN CASE he wants to expand in areas you have earmarked for the employee later on. Suggest keep some additional territories in mind to be given to the dealer--that don't clash with those of the employee--in case he wants to add later on.
@Saswata Banerjee--
Not quite clear on the 'why' part for your remarks--'By the way seniors, is there a reason why I am not able to appreciate any of the posts in this thread ???'
Can you pl elaborate?

In general, every thread has an "appreciate" button at the end of each post. I click to register my appreciation of a good post or point. This entire thread that button is missing. I can't appreciate any of the posts thought some of the points are very well made.

The DRAMA may end if the DEALER and the SALESMAN reading this long email suggestions.
Basically all agree to keep the Dealer.
Play with the Salesman, as you like, just sack him.
Read the AGREEMENT you signed with him carefully.

Remove the salesman from the zone (either transfer or retrench) and appoint an another sales person on the dealer's payroll and reimburse monthly/ annual cost of the candidate to the dealer. You may follow the same practice whenever/wherever you have to appoint sales person until you operate a full fledged office at that particular area.
