Dear Garima,

i'w read all cooments and i think you have lot of confusion so i want to clear your doubt in a few word just follow and you'll thought it's coorect or wrong then you cought search on google, please follow below mention details.

ESIC

Supose (Ram) an employee gross salary is 15000/- (including Basic+DA+Other) for 30 days and if they'll worked whole month that means 30 days then they'll eaned 15000/-, hence as per ESIC act if any employee erned (gross salary or wage) 15000 then they'll exempted from ESIC if earned less then 15000 they'll liable for ESIC.

PF

supose Ram gross salary is 15000 and your company split his salary like (PF+DA = 6500 + other + 8500) then your company deduct pf from Basic+DA*12%.

and your most important queries leave encashment,

supose Ram worked 25 day any month then 5 days is his leave. and when you calculate his salary then his has earned 25 daysa salary + 5 days leave encashment = salary became 15000/-.

where is problem if you fill any quieries any where then you can contact with me throught my mail-id :

and you have any problem about comppliance then you can contact with me throught my mail id.

thanks & regard

Hi All,
Please help me to understand my query. My salary is Rs.15000/- in which basic is Rs.6000/-, so they used to deduct Rs.780+780/- pf contribution and this month they deducted Rs.1800+1800/-, is it right?
And as I know an employee get the pf when he/she gest separated from the company, so will he/she get it even though he/she resigned after 5 or 6 month?
Looking forward for your kind support.
Thanks

Dear Seniors,
If employee's gross salary is 17k but due to loss of pay earns 14k gross only in that particular month. is it compulsory to pay esic even for month? please confirm.

Thank you all for clarifying my doubt. (In my query, i had mentioned gross sly instead of BASIC+DA. by mistake ) So, my understanding is, the PF contribution (both e.er n e.ee) will vary if there is loss of pay, and its not a constant figure.
Thank you.

I have a confusion regarding PF calculation. If an employee joined on 24th of september 2014 what would be his PF contribution on September month. His CTC is 17000, basic + DA is 10200. As per our policy his september salary will be calculated along with October month salary. So what could be his PF of September ?
From India, New Delhi
Dear RamyaRN,
You are aware that PF ceiling has been raised from Rs 6500/ PM to Rs 15000/ PM with effect from September-14.
An employee has joined in your company on and from 24th September-14 at a CTC of Rs 17000/ PM, which includes Basic & DA Rs.10200/ PM . The said employee will receive his 8 days salary for September-14 and full month's salary for Oct-14. As per Policy of the company you will disburse his salary for Sept-14 & Oct-14 together.
If my assumption is correct, you are to deduct PF contribution @ 12 % on 8 days Basic & DA for September-14 and for salary of October-14, you are to deduct @12% on Rs 10200/ (Basic & DA) from the salary of the employee. Needless to state that employer will be required to contribute @13.61% on Basic & DA.
While depositing the PF contribution for October-14, you are also required to show and deposit arrear contribution for September-14 as because his DOB is 24th Sept-14.

Hi,
As per the new amendment the limit has been increased to 15000, now if an employee has a gross salary of 30000 (basic+hra+MA+otherallowances) but his basic is 12,000, what amount should be considered for EPF contribution. pls help.

From India, Bangalore
Ravi ji, EPF is to be calculated on BASIC + DA. In yr case, only Basic is available. Hence EPF shud be 12000 * 12% = 1440/- each e.er and e.ee.
