Dear rldhingra,
I fully agree with the views of Mr Prem Kumar. Any body can seek any type of work whether voulntarily or under compulsions of circumstances beyond one's control and qualification is a base which states that he is capable of taking on the likely work being assigned to him. Demanding additional pay & perks subsequnetly can be accepted but it should be the task of HR/Admin to convince himself first and then accdept or reject his / her demand accordingly. I have an admin executive working with me who is highly qualified to perform the jobs of an engineer and he has declared his additional qualifications to the company which has been accepted and he is getting certain additional benefits in salary. However it is purely upto HR/ADMIN bosses to recommend his or her case based on merits of the individual employee.
With warm wishes.
