Why Exit Interview is important?
When an employee wants to leave or resign an exit interview should be carried out, just to know about his sentiments and opinions regarding the institutional, policies and procedures, compensation, as well as regarding the other issues to find communication gap and need analysis to bring the required changes and make the environment more resultant/ pleasant and productive.

Dear Anusha,
An exit interview is held at the time an employee is leaving the company either on resignation or on retirement. The management wants to know the feedback of the employee about the policies of the company, working environment, about his relationship with seniors and his experience of working with the company. The feedback given by the outgoing employee is analysed by the management to find out if any remedial action is required to be taken at some level. HR Department also makes an analysis to improve the set of policies/rules etc in view of the feedback given by the employee. Sometimes the feedback given by an outgoing employee may be subjective and not objective. This aspect also needs to be taken care of. However the idea of exit interview is a useful tool for a company to review its working and policies for betterment. In case you wish to get an article or paper on this topic you can mail me

Hii to everyone!,
My Heart felt thanks to all who have readily acknowledged my message, first while signing up in CITE HR i was not very sure how all this works in the site, but seeing so much of responses i feel really happy and thankful to everyone who have replied me back.
Currently we have planned only to stick on to EXIT INTERVIEW process in the company where we completed the internship, as appraisal seemed little confusing. We have gathered various papers necessary for it and have started the project. once our questionnaire is prepared i will post it on the site, and i kindly request you all to fill in with respect to the previous companies which you have worked in case you have work experience in more than 2 companies.
I will keep updating my project reports too. Thankyou so much.
Regards
Anu
