Same issue as per our office, ours is also a start up organisation started 2 years ago, and right from begining i only kept the key but as staff joined, and if on some days i used to come late then they used to wait outside office, but our office is in a complex wherein many offices are there so the facility of waiting space & restrooms is always available to staff whether office is open or not.

Then as people joined and as the duties of people became more complex, we started to issue keys to needy people and now almost every staff total 8 staff has the office keys and once they open the office they can use electronic access lock on main door so next whoever comes will be able to open the door using fingerprint / card.

Another thing is in any office, the housekeeping / cleaning staff comes half hour before and will be cleaning the office premises, a normal practice so all offices open half hour / 1 hour before the working times.

And i can understand your problem to wait half hour till someone comes and opens office, just check some solution will be there, as we all know that when we come to office after travelling a long distance we need to just refresh ourselves and relax for 5-10 minutes, which is not possible if office is closed and no proper facilities are available.

This is a funny case
Your office starts at 9
The office is opened 5 min before
So what is wrong with that ? Nothing
You want to avoid rush hour traffic in the trains from Mira road.
So you arrive 30 min ahead of time.
It appears you are blaming them for not opening the office at 8:30 instead of 8:55
They are not blaming you for coming early. I don't think they care how early you come.
Please tell me, why do you think others (or someone) should come early simply because you want to avoid rush in trains ? Or why the office should change its time to suite you ?
As has been suggested by others, read the newspaper for half hour.
Or walk slowly from station to office
Stop enroute for eat or a morning snack if there is no place to wait at your office.

Dear Yogita Hello,
Sine in big cities it is a regular problem to attend office in time, you do good from your point of view to come earlier since there is transport broblem there.Coming office before time is not taken as misconduct, but you have to pass your time out side office is really a problem with u. First u take a key from ur Admin and and another key to ur other staff. Those who will come earlier will sign on register in starting and end of office. I think there no other alternative of it.
